It’s hard to believe, but it has already been 2 years since we opened!  To celebrate our Anniversary, we are upgrading all basic services.  I love the signature services, and want everyone to experience them and feel extra pampered.

We have come a long way and have found the best non-toxic nail products along the way.  It’s good to know that there really are healthier, vegan options that are still practical, meaning they dry quickly, are long-lasting, and keep their shine.  For this reason, our services are the safest place for anyone to get their nails done, even pregnant women!

We also have a new menu.  Take a look under “service menu” for more details.  The services are now more targeted to treat specific hand, feet, and nail conditions.  The add-ons include hot stones, a moisture mask, and an Alpha Hydroxy Hand Cream.  Check out the new services, which include much more pampering.  The cocktail services are still available upon request.

Speaking of cocktails, we are offering Belvedere Martinis & Manicures every Friday this month from 4-8pm.  It sure beats sitting in traffic!

Spring is finally here and it is getting warmer.  Now is the perfect time to prep those toes.  Be sure to give your feet some much needed TLC.  They’ve been packed in boots all winter, so I suggest to shed a layer of skin with our much acclaimed scrub, especially for your first pedicure of the season.  As for your hands, try a paraffin treatment and essential oil to re-hydrate.

Spring Beauty Trends seem to be the most popular topic of interest lately.  I was approached by both Access Hollywood and InStyle about the new Spring colors, which are finally in stock at Recess for your services.  The typical pastels are in, and there is also a very fun pink, called “Barbie.”  It was very popular this past weekend.  

A friend of mine recently experimented with color a little and mixed two different shades by applying Malia as her first coat and Cassi as her second coat of polish.  A beautiful iridescent Spring polish is the final product.  For anyone that can’t decide between two colors, this is a possible solution.  Test out this tactic of layering polish colors if you are feeling playful.

Speaking of layering, don’t be shy about layering Recess products in your actual services.  This happens to be one of my favorite things.  Try starting with a soak that your body will appreciate the essential oil properties of, and finish with your favorite scent, that you would like to walk away smelling like.
